It has been quiet in this summer time due to numbers of my wedding assignments had been rescheduled.

While September and October are incredibly busy for me (seven weddings), I'm very conscious of the fact that it's great that the industry is back underway. I think people finally realizes that they have to live with Covid for the next year or two.

I photographed seven weddings in October and November and it was the first time I had a chance to use my newly purchased XF33mm F1.4 and an on loan XF18mm F1.4 lenses. It’s too bad that I still don’t have the estimated delivery time of the 18mm at this moment.

The 18mm has been a focal length I always wanted to use at weddings vs my existing XF23mm F1.4 lens that didn't give me the speed I wanted. Both the 18mm and 33mm lenses are producing amazingly sharp images I’m completely blown away by the quality of these lenses. In fact I will go so far as to state that these lens are Fujifilms best optical achievement for the XF system next to the XF90mm f/2.

The new 18mm F1.4 is larger than its older brother, the F2 equivalent. In fact, it is much bigger. However, it's not oversize like the XF50mm F1 that I have never used it.

So, a few sample images below of my recent experiences with the XF18mm F1.4 and XF33mm F1.4 lenses. I really can't wait to use this lens more in the upcoming weddings that I have.
